Obituary of Patricia Ann Kondora

Patricia A. Kondora, 71 of 3222 Friendship Street, Iowa City died at her home Friday, July 6, 2007, following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Iowa City American Legion Building Fund. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Patricia Ann Yoder was born February 14, 1936, in Wellman, Iowa the daughter of Clifford R. and Della M. (Weeks) Yoder. She married Irvin E. “Short” Kondora February 21, 1959, in Davenport. For over thirty-three years she was associated with the School of Library and Information Services at the University of Iowa retiring in 1996. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and the wintering in Arizona. Her family includes her husband, Short; daughter, Marti Vermace and her husband, Randy of Iowa City; grandchildren, Casey Kacina, Jolene Raab and her husband, Adam, Megan Vermace and Heather Vermace all of Iowa City; and her niece Tonni Richard of Bettendorf, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Patricia’s family and her services.
