Obituary of Bobby G. Murphy Sr.

Bobby G. Murphy Sr., 86 of North Liberty died Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the Windmill Manor Care Center in Coralville. Bobby was born in Rolla, Missouri and when he was old enough enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during the Korean Conflict, and was able to reflect on his service as he was reunited with other Korean Conflict Veterans during the Honor Flight he so proudly took in 2014. His family includes his children, Debbie Murphy, Wanda Murphy, Bobby G. Murphy Jr. and Candy Ellery (Monte); 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother. Private family services are being planned through Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
