Obituary of George E. Wells

George E. Wells, 87 of Iowa City died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 2:30 pm Friday, January 20, 2017, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by a graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Iowa City Animal Shelter. His family includes his siblings, John Wells (Carolyn) of Iowa City, Anna Baker (Bob) of Wagoner, OK; and Susan Wells of Iowa City; 4 nieces and nephews, 2 great-nieces and nephews, and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Rosa Wells, and 2 brothers, Delmar Wells and Emery Wells.
