In Loving Memory of Lux Lee Garcia-Graves

Lux came into this world on July 26, 2024, and left it on July 1, 2026.  Some say Lux was too good for this world, but the truth is this world was made for them.  They loved it here with us- deeply, completely.  Every wild turkey, ally cat, squirrel, and tiny bug was a friend.  They found joy in nature, plants, art, music, and food, tasting and exploring everything with wide-open curiosity.  That bright, fearless wonder would have shaped the future into something beautiful.  

Just looking at them each morning filled us with hope.  They knew when we were sad, when we were frustrated, when we were happy.  They saw us.  We imagined every possible future for them except this one.  What wouldn't we trade for one more moment?

Lux changed everything.

Now we carry their light forward.  We choose kindness and curiosity first.  We are good to animals, make friends where we can, and never forget to say "I love you" before the day ends.

Lux's story reminds us that every single day is precious, every moment with those we love is a gift.  Lux would say "I see you."  So let us truly see one another and the world around us.  Let us steal more moments, remember why we are here, and why it matters so much.
